Together with the PRP managers and skills supervisors, our fully trained preceptors (a term used in the NHS to describe a clinical mentor) will support your transition from student to successful referral nurse by helping you progress your professional behaviours and referral level clinical skills.

In addition to the clinical experience and training you receive, you will also attend five professional development days (PDD) which will accelerate your career within referral nursing.
These will include:
- Understanding team dynamics
- Communication training
- Quality Improvement (QI) Skills
- Human Factors and Patient Safety
- Support in creating CPD and training activities
- Career progression
- Professional resilience
- Clinical Skills, such as CPR
By joining Linnaeus, you will benefit from a fantastic starting salary, generous annual leave allowance, employee assistance programme and you will also be entitled to our employee benefits package. You will have access to a generous CPD budget and additional days to complete CPD should you wish.
By the end of the programme we hope to have supported our newly-qualified nurses to become fully fledged members of the referral team who are confident in their ability to perform all aspects of referral nursing, are able to contribute to QI initiatives, support the delivery of CPD and training activities and support other new nurses joining the business.
