Hospital Director - Multisite

Kentdale Referrals and Bay Vets

Location: Milnthorpe and Lancaster areas

Reporting to: Regional Operations Director

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Hospital Director to lead both Kentdale Referrals (a leading surgical referral centre) and Bay Vets (a high-performing mid tier primary care practice) in the Lancaster area. This multisite role offers the opportunity to oversee two prestigious brands, with responsibility for a £10m P&L and a team of approximately 110 professionals.

As Hospital Director, you will drive strategic and operational excellence, ensuring outstanding clinical care, financial performance, and team engagement across both locations. You will lead Senior Leadership Teams (SLTs) at each site, integrating and transforming their operations while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive excellence in clinical care, operational efficiency, and business growth across both sites.

  • People Management: Inspire, coach, and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a positive, inclusive, and high-performing culture.

  • Business Performance: Deliver financial and operational objectives, managing P&L and ensuring efficiency.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams, marketing, HR, and external partners to enhance service delivery.

  • Client & Patient Experience: Ensure the highest standards of patient care, customer service, and veterinary referral processes.

  • Compliance & Safety: Maintain high standards of health and safety, facility management, and clinical governance.

What We Are Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills:

✔ 5+ years in a leadership role within a multidisciplinary setting

✔ Strong commercial acumen, including P&L management

✔ Ability to interpret financial and operational data to drive decision-making

✔ Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

✔ Experience in business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) service delivery

✔ Resilient, proactive, and able to perform under pressure

✔ Excellent team leadership and stakeholder management

✔ Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as required

Desirable Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience in veterinary or healthcare industries

  • Business or management qualification (Level 5 or above) Leadership/coaching accreditation

  • Professional chartership (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CMI, CIPD)
