Your role and responsibilities

This is an opportunity for a vet to join our friendly and supportive practice as a mixed vet. At Greenside, we pride ourselves on providing good work: life balance along with lots of on-the-job support for our colleagues. We take a fair share of ops, consulting and farm work but with preferences and special interests well understood and encouraged. We have a very open and honest management style and encourage regular feedback from our associates to get the very best working environment for everyone.

The right candidate for the role will be a confident, friendly mixed animal veterinary surgeon with good communication skills who enjoys working in a supportive team environment.

Greenside Vets is a mixed practice with a solid farm base (no equine) and a quality companion animal component. Our main site is well equipped including; DR x-ray, new ultrasound, dental x-ray, bronchoscopy, gastroscopy, and multi-parameters. We have a growing orthopaedic caseload and perform some advanced soft tissue procedures in house too. We have on-site facilities for large animal surgery and hospitalisation of small ruminants/calves.

We also work alongside a full team of veterinary surgeons, nurses and physiotherapists who provide a referral level regenerative medicine and rehabilitation service with facilities including a hydrotherapy underwater treadmill. This is the only one of its kind in Scotland and presents a huge opportunity to our clients and their pets.

Our out of hours work is well supported with a dedicated nurse on call with the vet to assist where required. Our nurses expect to be called in! We have no routine weekend consulting and we give you Friday off after your weekend on call.
