Job Title: Multi-disciplinary registered veterinary nurse- with Schedule 3 development
Reporting to: Training and Education Lead Nurse
Location: Abbey house veterinary hospital Morley
Salary:£28,500 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week over 4 days ( with one day off per week) with an equal share of 1 in 4 weekends

Abbey House Vets are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to compliment their multi-disciplinary team at our 24 hours hospital. We experience a variety of surgical, medical and practice nurse cases.

We drive schedule three procedures with nurse lead dentistry with the aim to expand our skills set to surgical based procedures.

  • We have our own dedicated night team that supports out of hours for our own patients and clients but also other local practices, also giving the opportunity to nurse a wide range of patients.

 

About us

Abbey house is composed of 6 veterinary clinics across West Yorkshire including our main hospital in Morley. We see both primary care and mid-tier referrals. Our facilities consist of digital X-ray, ultrasound,endoscopy, a dental suite and an intensive care unit with an incubator.

 

The team

You’ll be surrounded by highly experienced RVN’s who are all are passionate about delivering exceptional clinical and client care in a friendly and collaborative environment. Within our vet team we have a range of skills including a surgical referral surgeon and an ophthalmology referral surgeon.  As a team, we’re all committed to the pursuit of clinical excellence, we share ideas and support each other to develop comprehensive and innovative solutions that truly deliver the best care for our patients. We work hard to ensure rotas and schedules are balanced and fair, giving you the time you need between cases and to genuinely have a work/life balance.

What we’re looking for

  • A qualified RCVS registered veterinary nurse (preferably with 1 year plus experience)
  • A nurse who enjoys a busy practice with a range of different cases
  • Someone who is proactive and thrives on learning more and developing their skills
  • A nurse who enjoys a range of disciplines and wants to progress across all areas.
